The distinguished summer course at the Siracusa-based International Institute for Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences has issued its latest draft programme, and a final call for applications. The deadline is 15 March. The Irish Centre for Human Rights is one of the co-sponsors of the programme.
The programme this year has a focus on Shari'a law, which seems particularly apt under the current circumstances. Among the speakers are two distinguished graduates of the Irish Centre for Human Rights doctoral programme: Roza Fajaeli and Mohamed Elewa Bader. Roza is now a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin, and Mohamed is a lecturer at Brunel University in London.
There are fellowships available for students from developing countries. For more information.
