Alfred Mwenedata successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Irish Centre for Human Rights on 21 October. The subject of his thesis was the promotion and protection of human rights in the context of HIV/Aids. Professor Stephen Marks of Harvard University was the external examiner, and Dr. Laurent Pech was the internal examiner. Alfred is a law lecturer at the Kigali Independent University, in Rwanda. Congratulations, Alfred, on this important achievement.
